This blog is about the review of the book “Who moved my cheese” by Dr. Spencer Johnson. The author has related a realistic simple story to an important lesson which everyone should learn in life.

First let me tell you all, the gist of the story. There are 2 mice (Sniff and Scurry) and 2 little humans (Hem and Haw). They live in a maze and the maze has cheese in different places. All four of them used to go to the same cheese station everyday for eating, one day the cheese was over. The optimistic mice went back to the maze in search of another cheese station but the little people made a huge fuss about the gone cheese. They thought someone stole their cheese to fool them, so waited thinking that the person will keep the cheese back. Few days passed and the cheese didn’t return. Haw then thought of leaving the cheese station and asked Hem about it? Hem replied saying you may end up nowhere if you go to the maze as you don’t know the way. Haw was frightened by Hem’s reply and waited for the gone cheese to comeback. Another few days passed and the cheese didn’t comeback; Haw decided to leave the cheese station and go in search of cheese rather than wait there. Hem still insisted Haw to stay back but Haw left. From that point Haw started to slowly realize through his maze journey the mistake that he and his friend did. Realizing this Haw started to write on the walls of the maze to help Hem to follow the route and understand his mistakes. After a long search Haw finally reached the cheese station where the room was filled with cheese until the top of the ceiling. At that time, he saw the two mice Sniff and Scurry. Sniff and Scurry greeted him with a nod; Haw rushed to the cheese pile and ate some cheese. After some time he heard a noise outside, he hoped that it was Hem. The author has left the story as a cliffhanger that means a story without an ending. From this the author wants to convey to everyone which was also written on one of the walls by Haw is:
· Change Happens
· Anticipate Change
· Monitor Change
· Adapt to Change quickly
· Change
· Enjoy Change
Although the book is about change management the author has narrated it in a simple way such that kids will also understand. Hence, I recommend all of you to read the book because if you read something you will understand it better than when told by someone else. This book may be a real eye-opener for all of us and may change our life. Now in real life, the lock-down is a change for all of us, few still crib about it but others accepted the change and are using their time effectively.

Thanks uncle
